WORDS OF WELCOME AND INGATHERING

*OPENING HYMN  “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” # 87 (G)

PRAYER of Invocation (in Unison) O God, put purpose in our restless hearts, a path beneath our pilgrim feet, a vision into our aimless dreams.  We have strength but it is often wasted; we are busy with many things but seldom tend to the needs of our souls, or those of others; we rejoice, but not often in the joy our Savior.  Forgive us, O God, and help us re-consecrate ourselves to your Word and your will.   Use this hour and this Sacramental moment to draw us closer to you and to one another, in faith, hope and love.  For the glory of your name, Amen.
